Earlier this year, we met a family in Borrego Springs, California, with 2 boys about Edison’s age. They were also there because the area is a dark sky community, a place with minimal light pollution. This is why communities like this attract folks who like to look up at night.
After watching a seminar put on by the park, our new friends found an RV park in Challis, Idaho that was right on the path of totality. (Good find, Liz!)
You never know how many opportunities you will have to see a full eclipse. So, we decided to meet them in Challis on August 21st.
After fiddling with various combinations of eclipse glasses and sun glasses, I got a couple decent pictures….
